BSc Degree / NHD in Civil Engineering/ B Degree / NHD in Construction Management NQF Level 6. 6 – 8 Years as Site Agent; Ability to speak English, Afrikaans. Manage financial aspects of a construction project. Establish and implement project costing systems and implementing financial improvement strategies. Manage Construction Projects; Establish, implement and control procurement processes; Understand and apply civil engineering construction technology; Interpreting and implementing contracts; Handle claims and disputes; Understand and apply the Law of Contracts; Administer construction projects. Establish the procurement strategy at organisational and project level. Manage Pre-bid procedures and related tender procedures. Establish contracts administration policies and systems. Manage the project in context of construction-ability, logistical planning, lean production and supply chain management. Ensure the Contract Quality Plan is maintained; Ensure compliance with the quality Management System. Complies with legislative requirements by ensuring that all Health, Safety and Environmental procedures are adhered to on a construction site. Salary is negotiable.
